Greetings everyone,

I would really appreciate some help with the following as I am fairly new to MultiSim:

I am doing my Lab homework and am trying to place a component Op-Amp 741c. Well, there is a 741 but no 741c. How can I create my own or where should I be looking? I tried using the Help feature but am not really following their guidelines. Please help?

I am using "Lab Manual (MultiSim Emphasis) to accompany Electronic Devices and Circuit Theory".

I think the 'c' is just part of the packaging scheme.  I.E. the LM741CN is an 8-pin dip, where the LM741CH is a TO-5 package.  Search for the part using a wildcard (*) before the part number and it will yield a much greater selection of parts.  In the PowerPro version, I counted 57 different components!

You might just try using the Virtual 3 or 5 pin opamp and editing the default parameters such as slew rate, UGB, Cin, etc. to match your datasheet.  Unless you're designing a high frequency or voltage circuit, the SPICE simulation for a standard topology won't usually result in much variation.

I searched *741C*, there is nothing in the database, but navyjay has it right, the C deals with the package type.....typically.  Regular 741 will do the job.   If you MUST have it say C then you can place a 741 on the sheet somewhere, then select it, > "add component to database" (user database) and then place the "corrected" C version from the user database onto the sheet.  You could also just place a 741, and then adjust the device label to reflect the correct part number also.  Either way, same result

What version are you running, kittmaster?  Attached is a screenshot of the available parts that come up using Multisim PowerPro 10.1.197.
