no such port on component

I got this error in MS11.  These are all the same part type in 4 different subcircuits.  I don't see anything wrong with the part.  Any ideas?

The netlist generator found the following error(s):

This report popped up on it's own without me doing anything.  I've done multiple netlist exports without any message, but just now the same report popped up again without me doing anything.

Is there a way to invoke the netlist generator in MS to cause this report to occur?

I also noticed this part is a digital part and wants some type of family selected, even though the model is 'dummy'.

I changed it to analog like some other digital parts with no models, and I'll watch to see if it pops up again.

Never seen this one before.

Hi,

Can you put this part is a schematic by itself and post the file?

Here is a file with two versions, one analog with dummy model and one digital/cmos-5V with dummy model.

I think I still get the same type  errors with both of these.

Hi dbur,

The issue you are experiencing is because of you have specified the component type as Digital. You can go to the properties of the component and then click Edit Component in DB. Then you can go to the Pin parameter and just change the Component Type from Digital to Analog. When you specify it as a Digital component, then Multisim expects some parameters which are not present so for components which are for layout only, you can just specify them to Analog and the issue should be resolved.

Hope this helps.

I thought that might be the issue and did change it to analog and thought I still saw it happen.  Since the report only pops up occassionally I'll try making sure all instances are set to analog and watch it more carefully for a while.

Is there no way to invoke that report explicitly, rather than wait for it to randomly pop up?

Thanks.
