Hi,
I am a Ultiboard 7 Pro user with the 1400 pin limit. I want to upgrade to unlimited pin version, please.
I do not want to goto latest edition of multisim/multicap since I have tried these and only get very depressed each time a load them. I have a dual core running at 2GHz. Ultiboard 7 loads in <1second. Wow! thats fast and its a great program.
I just need to upgrade to the unlimited version and my dreams will have come true.
[ has anybody got the source code for ultiboard 7? it would be great to try it out on a linux machine]
Can anybody help.
Thanks.

Unless NI says different, I rather doubt that your going to be able to do this. The only version available for downloading or purchasing right now is Version 10 that I am aware of.. You may be able to find someone that has what you are looking for that would be willing to give it to you or sell it to you (if that is legal to do, which I do not know).
Maybe you can describe the problems you are having when you downloaded Version 10 and it could be possible that we or NI can help find out what seems to be causing your trouble.
As far as Source Code for Ultiboard, that would definitely would be out of the question as this is proprietory, patented, trademarked, copyrighted, and who knows what else. NI would definitely not release something like this into the public domain.
I wish I could help, but I am at the limit of what I can do in this situation.
I would like to discuss this further with you off-forum. Please contact me at lacy@cwv.net

Hi Lacy,
Thanks for the comments.
I have been using the ultiboard range for several years now.
Unfortunatly I find ultiboard 10 a real step backwards. I have tried using it for 6 months but the speed and performance do not match the older programs. Multicap is several steps back from the original Ulticap program. With the latest ultiboard 10 you can no longer import ulticap schematics.
I finally gave up on the new software. I still feel Ultiboard 7 and Ulticap with all the patch fixes is far superior to anything that come since.
I think if you had ulticap and ultiboard 7 running on a Linux machine it would be pure heaven. The simplicity and speed would be better than alot of the very expensive packages.
Please can anyone help me get hold of a power pro upgrade for ultiboard 7?
Thanks.
