wont autoroute accross layers??!!??

Hello,
When I autoroute (on a 2 layer board), it just keeps going forever using only the copper top layer. It NEVER places a trace on the copper bottom and I certainly have never seen it place a via.

Whats going on?

I've set layer bias to horizontal and vertical for top and bottom respectively. Vias are set to a grid, it knows about the other layer.

It's killing me doing manual traces- can anyone help out?

Thanks in advance.

Michael.

Check your spreadsheet view, the nets tab, scroll right until you see 'routing layers' column, select all your nets using the <SHIFT> key and click on any row on that routing layer cell, make sure all layers are selected. Click OK.

If currently you see nets with a "10" in that cell, that means only copper top will route. If you see "11" it means top and bottom will route.

You can also do this from the Net List Editor, but this only allows you to change one net at a time. I thought I would just let everyone know this. Nestor's technique is the fastest way of doing this, but it doesn't hurt to know of other ways to accomplish a task.
