I don't think that LV made test station only.

at my past many years ,I have issued many station are not for test station. For example, "Random select question paper system" "SQL server 2000 process data system (use TCP communicates data) which LV sends command to SCM, and SCM sends data to LV, and LV saves it to SQL etc.

  and we are controlling many many instruments about. some instrument has its series port, RS232 and IEE-488, what would you do ? yes ,you can use GPIB card to achieve the data getting.and it is fast. but we won't, we are using RS232 usually instead. the result is all the same and content our demand. this channel handle tells that save money only, he he.
