how to open a cfg file

I am compiling using CVI, how to open a *.cfg file ? thanks

Can you explain more clearly what do you want to realize?

I am doing some update with a CVI program ,which compiled by others. In his program folder, I find a  *.cfg file, which is doing config the CVI, I try to open it with notepad...but can not display correctly. What do you think of it?

I am not sure if *.cfg file is configure file, try ultraedit to open it.
