I can't find the NI package manager. the national instrument folders are there, but it won't show up on the contoll panel. i've tried to delete and uninstall the folders and then reinstalling them, but the same thing reoccures. this prohibits me from downloading labview, which is the main reason i need NIPM in the first place.
any suggestions?

Have you checked C:\Program Files\National Instruments\NI Package Manager?
NOT C:\Progam Files(x86)\...

yes, i have. the NIPackageManager20.6.0_online.exe is located there. programs like MAX, Labview and NI Maidaq are located at the (x86) file.

The file name makes me suspicious... loks more like an installer to me...
This is what the directory looks like on my PC:

i'm missing most of those files. every time i try to re install, i end up with just the NIPackagemanager.exe file. im missing most of the dll files.

1. You should move that file to somewhere else, like in Downloads.
2. Run that executable. It will then download the full package for NIPM and install. You may have to "Run As Administrator".

if i do that, this will eventually appear. when i would try to search for the program, but it won't show. and there are also no changes in the national instrument folder.

I' try to uninstall all the NI software via control panel, but if I understood you correctly, NI software doesn't show up in the control panel at all?

exactly! i can't find it in the controll panel. at the same time, the installation process shows that it's already installed.

If you have MAX installed, you should at least see something....
Can you open MAX and check, what it NI software is found?
