Agilent VEE - Error -2147220088 Vee Error Number 904 Invalid Device Encountered

Hello

I'm calling Agilent VEE functions with Teststand. I use the method shown in example (TestStand\Examples\VEE\). First, a "Hello World"-Program runs and writes a set of strings in a file. When I replaced the block "to file" by a "Direct IO" which sends the strings to the serial (COM 1) I get the VEE Error Message Error -2147220088, Vee Error Number 904, Invalid Device Encountered.

What can I do?

can you access the device through a different tool than TS? To me it seems that there is something with wrong with the configuration.

it runs standalone in VEE without any problem!

I have some more questions:

1. Where is the error occurring in the example?
2. What hardware are you using?
3. Have you tried calling the activeX API for VEE in another language such as LabVIEW or CVI.  Do yourun into the same problem?
