Automatically add create or delete user privileges for each new user

Hello,

I do not want the privilege of creating or deleting users limited to the Administrator. I want each new user that is created to have the ability to create or delete users. But the user should not automatically have other privileges such as editing code, inserting steps, etc. Is there a simple way to accomplish this?

If you can live with the possibility of any user changing your privileges or totally removing you as a user, then open the user manager and go to the profiles tab. For each profile (operator, technician, etc.) change Privileges>Configure>Edit Users to True.

Hi,

when a user creates a new user, they must ensure that the Privilege.Configure.EditUsers is set True. This will ensure that new user will also beable to create|delete users.

Perhaps I didn't think this through. What I would like is for a new user to be able to add his or her own login as an operator. I have been trying to do this using the CreateDeleteUser.seq example, and adding it to the Tools menu. But it appears that if everyone has access to the User Manager, they can view other user's passwords.

They couldn't view the passwords once they've been entered anymore than the admin can but they could remove or change them.
