Build trouble in Test Stand 4.0.1

Hi all,

I have experienced the following trouble while building the distribution with NI Test Stand 4.0.1.

Configuration:

TestStand 4.0.1 -Development Licence
NI LabVIEW 8.5 -Development Licence

My application contains code modules built in LabVIEW 8.5 and a sequence built in Test Stand 4.0.1

and i tried to run the sequnce in sequnce editor, it works fine.

when i tried to  create the installer along with TestStand engine,

i found the popup given in attachments.

I wonder how the installer program is not copied during installtion of NI TestStand 4.0.1.

and it started asking about all driver disks and labVIEW disks as the build goes on...

finally the build is finished, i still need to test the installer on a target PC.

please let me know if you have any idea about these popups.

Hello,

It looks like the attachment did not come through.  What is the exact message that you are receiving?  I am assuming you are refering to the message asking you to 'Insert the CD containing the following:".  The reason this is occuring is that when you build an installer with additional components, the original source of the components needs to be embedded into the installer. TestStand automatically copies the installer files to your hard drive the first time it embeds them. When you try to build an installer, you'll be prompted only once for the source location. TestStand will then automatically copy the contents of the source location to your hard drive. As an example, if you were trying to include DAQmx for the first time in an installer, you'd receive the error asking for the CD containing the National Instruments Device Drivers. Once you locate the source files, they will be copied to your hard drive, and you'll never be prompted for the source again.
