CVI automation server not found error on distributed TestStand Ap

I am attempting to distribute a TestStand application to a new PC. When I try to run the application I get an error 'CVI automation server not found'. My TestStand application does use CVI and I created the distribution from within CVI. The CVI Engine is installed on the target PC (I enven tried installing it seperately) yet I still get this error. I am using version 1.0.1 of TestStand and version 5.0.1 of CVI. The target system is running Windows NT service pack 5.

Hi
"CVI automation server not found" error means that the application is trying to access the CVI development environment.

Do you get this error when you start the application ( ie the operator interface) or does it happen when you run a specfic sequence ?

Is your CVI adaptor configured to "Excute steps using an external instance of CVI" ? If so then you should change it to "execute steps in-process".
