I can only see 8x8 examples on NI MIMO using 292x .. However, I noticed on Ettus that they wrote
If common PPS and 10 MHz signals are distributed to USRP N-Series devices, it is theoretically possible to build arbitrarily large MIMO systems. In practice, developers have built systems with up to 16 synchronized USRP devices.
and as I understand the N-series in Ettus are comparable to the 292x series in NI ..
Can anyone comment on the possibility on going high order to 16 x 16 using NI 2920 ??

Hi Maha2018
First I would like to recommend you to post your USRP questions on the USRP Software Radio forum instead, as that will give it more visibility to the appropriate people and increase the chances of getting more collaboration on your post.
As you mention, the N series Ettus devices and the NI 292X devices have a lot in common, so, if Ettus says that theoretically, bigger MIMO systems could be built with N series devices, then there is a good chance that the NI 2920 could be used in the same way. Now, before going for 2920s to build 16x16 MIMO system, it might be necessary to think about the other requirements that come with massive MIMO, including an accurate distribution system for the clocks and the chances of needing intense data processing for the system.
As I mentioned, posting this question on the USRP forum could be a good way to get some more feedback from the community, so I would definitely encourage you to do so.
