Can not edit steps names, just via properties tab

Dear TestStand community,

let me ask you about one simple (I believe) question.

I use TestStand 2014 sp1; and recently I've started to experience the following issue - I can not edit steps names. I can do it just via Step Properties pane, General tab - I can write step name there, and it's OK.

But I can not do it via right-click context menu, via F2, and directly in the steps view (after step drop also).

I am logged in as Administrator, all rights are granted.

And, this is valid for any sequence file, what I create or open...

I beleive, that I'm missing just some small detail is settings, but which one - I don't know...

Thanks a lot in advance!

Hi kosist,

I can't think of any setting that would disable the normal ways to rename a step.  Is this something that you are experiencing on any sequence that you open in test stand?

regards,

Pat

Hi Kosist,

When did this start happening?

have you restarted your computer since this started?

Do you have any issues renaming other things in TestStand?

Do you have any other versions of TestStand and do they have the same issue?

Regards,

Pat

Hi Pat,

thanks for your reply.

I have this issue for couple months already. I've restarted PC many times since then, but it didn't help.

Yes, I have one more TS version installed, but I didn't check this issue there... I'm gonna to do it, thanks for the idea.

And regarding other issues - seems, that I don't have any, just this step names editing occured from somewhere...

Thank you,

Did any other versions of teststand have the same problem?

Also if possible you might want to try reinstalling TestStand.

I've checked, so on the another one TS version, I don't have this issue...

Yep, reinstall most probably will help... But anyway, it's interesting, why this issue appeared...

Thank you,
