Cannot get TestStand 3.0 output to view in explorer with stylesheet

I used to use TestStand 2.0 with the sample program that created XML files and the style sheet that came allong with it to make it viewable in MS-Explorer and it worked. I am now trying to do the same thing with TestStand 3.0. But things are different. TS 3.0 has a different version of the XML generator and is heavely ActiveX control based. It's output file format seems to be different. The style sheets (*.xls files) that ship with TS 3.0 don't seem to work with the output of TS 3.0 XML generator. How do I make it work? Included is a sample of both TS 2.0 (that works) and TS3.0 (that doen't).
Please note that the style sheets need to belong in C:\TestSystem\Reports\System
in order for explorer to u
se them.

Hi
TestStand 3.0 output is not the same output as TestStand 2.0. The XSDs have changed and so the XML output has also changed.

The 3.0 output which you have attached in the zip file is not the default output. How was your output generated. were any modifications made to the output.

It was modified slightly. The only modifications I made were to the ReportGen_XML.seq file. I added some parameters to the report. Is this the reason it's not viewable. If so, how do I add parameters so they are viewable.

We use the XML output in conjunction with a parser program to up-load the data to a SQL database on our network. The output format is correct for our parser, but not MS explorer. So I wish not to change the ReportGen_XML.seq file. I would like to know how to change the style sheet so it works properly.
Included is the ReportGen_XML.seq file.

Hi,

It looks like your XML output is significantly different from the 3.0 output.
For example it does not have "Reports" root tag. The 3.0 style sheet uses this as the basis of processing data.
Also the 3.0 style sheet does not know how to process "Element" tag.

One other things I found was that the 3.0 output also does not have a tag to specify the style sheet

""

I would suggest that the 2.0 stylesheet be modified to work with the 3.0 output as your output is different from the standard
TestStand 3.0 output.

I would start out by adding the tag for the style sheet for the 3.0 XML output and start fixing the issues whihc occur one at a time.

One good web site I found
with some info about style sheets are www.w3school.com

I hope this helps
