Create VI option is disabled

I'm new to Teststand and I'm going throught the "Using LabVIEW with Teststand" tutorial. I'm trying to create a VI from teststand but the Create VI icon is greyed out. Any idea of possible causes?

I'm logged as an administrator and I'm running Teststand 4.2 Development System with LabVIEW 8.6 Professionnal Development System

Select Configure>>Adapters...

Select LabVIEW and click the Configure button.

Make sure the Development System radio button is selected.

I don't have TestStand 4.2 at the moment but my guess is you are using the LabVIEW runtime adapter instead of the Development Environment adapter. In 4.1 this is located on the top tool bar under configure>>adapters>>then select LabVIEW>>and press configure button. Select Development System and press OK.
