Hey Mehran,

Im a little confused as to why you would want to read the values of the DMM proir to the IVI call? Is there a specific reason for this or were you interested to know why the voltage change so much post IVI call?

Hi Andy,

We record an external DMM reading to validate our test software.

Basically we only use external DMM during validation/verification to prove our measurements to the customer and producing validation document.

Hey Mehran,

For the perpose of validation you should use the voltage value of the DMM after the call of the IVI driver, the reason for this is that the voltages measured are scaled and therefore the driver is necessary to produce a final and accurate measurement.
