Default actions in NI Max software

Hi everyone, NI MAX (v. 25.0.0) is installed in my laptop to control a software of timming. The software runs without problems for one or two days, but no longer. Only when "Reset default actions" in NI tools is disabled, the software runs again. Could anyone explain me the reasons why "default actios" is activated frequently? Many thanks

Which NI tool you are referring to?

I don't remember any NI tool has this "Reset default actions" function.

Hi ZYOng, thank you for your response.

The "reset default actions" appear when I click in tools icon of my laptop toolbar. In the toolbar there is an icon in right side, that appears when NI software is running. When I detect wrong performance of my timming program, click in NI icon, then in the tool icon placed on top and right side of dialog box, select "reset default actions" and accept the reset action. Only after this sequence, my program runs again. Please, have a look to attached picture. I hope it can help you...

Regards

Hi Juanjo,

Do I understand correctly that your timing program only works properly after manually selecting “Reset Default Actions” from the NI Device Monitor menu?

This reset likely clears cached settings or reinitializes device communication, allowing the program to run again.

If this is the issue, have you checked Task Manager for processes like NI Device Monitor, NI Configuration Manager, or nimax.exe?

Also, did you check Windows services.msc to temporarily disable non-essential NI services and see if that helps?

Regards
