Error Code -30 at TestStand Deployment Utility startup

I get an error message right at startup of the TestStand Deployment Utility and before loading any project:

Starting Log.

Error Code:-30
TestStand - Deployment Utility Splash Screen.vi >> TestStand - Distribution Wizard GUI.vi >> TestStand - Load Engine Parts from Ini File.vi >> TestStand - Process Engine Info Dependencies.vi >> TestStand - Find Direct Engine Info Dependencies.vi >> TestStand - Get Dependent Products.vi >> MDFProdPreview_AddProduct.vi
{5CAF5414-0FA2-4C2E-AAB8-6594BC23F287}
--------------------------------

After loading my project, new error message appears:

An Error Has Occurred
Error Code:43
Aborted

--------------------------------

If I try to proceed with build, then everything looks fine until the very end of installer building (when files are copied). The same Internal error code -30 is mentioned again and installer build is aborted.

Hi Ray,

I've already tried recommendations from these links like delete all cached installers, but it doesn't help. Firat link says "This error will not negatively affect your installer", but I just don't have any installer created. I also have error 43 besides the error -30, if that might be a problem? Nothing like that happens on my colegue's computer, where we create our builds at the moment. We going to migrate to 2010 soon, may be the problem will go away.

Sergey -

Both of these errors are known issues that should not affect your build. I noticed from the log that the build was aborted. Could you provide your TSD (.tsd) file so that we can try to reproduce this? In my experience testing these issues, the build hadn't aborted.

Hello Sergey,

I just had exactly the same problem. I installed my Developer Suite DS1/2011 on my fresh Windows XP SP 3 PXI Controller with TestStand 2010 and LabVIEW 2010 SP1. I got the abort and the "installer" directory was empty. So it did not help to just "overrun" the error.

The solution is simple: Install the TestStand 2010 F1 patch, which can be downloaded here:

I have just installed Labview 2011 SP1 update. I get a derivative of this problem when building an application. The builder comes up with no errors, other than a dialog box as attached. It seems to be missing MDFProdPreview_AddProduct.vi. I could build correctly with Labview 2011 before the SP1 update.  The builder did not run, and no output was generated. Getting this fixed is important!

I am not using TestStand.

Hi Bart,

Since you are not using TestStand, I would recommend posting this on the LabVIEW forum to get more visibility.
