Help Needed – Missing Driver Simulation Library in LabVIEW

Solved!
Go to solution

Hi All,

I’m currently using LabVIEW 2025 Q3 and TestStand 2025 Q3. I’ve just started learning TestStand, and while working on a basic sequence, I noticed that I’m missing the following library file:
instr.lib\Driver Simulation.

Could someone please let me know how to download or install this library?

Thanks in advance!

You are referring to a library which is provided by the official TestStand Training Courses.

It can be installed from the Course Material (Excercises\Driver Simulation API from the top of my head)

Thanks for the info!

I’ve already installed the Simulation API from the official TestStand training course materials (from the Exercises\Driver Simulation API folder), but I still don’t see the library files under instr.lib.

Is there anything else I might be missing or need to configure to make them appear?

Appreciate your help!

Do you happen to have multiple LabVIEW installation on your PC?
Have you installed via batch (old version) or NIPKG (current version)?

The installation does finish without errors ???

Are you sure, it is the LabVIEW, not the Python Package you are installing?

Have you tried un-/ re-install?

Yes, the installation completed without any errors. However, it didn’t initially appear in the library. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling, and after that, it showed up correctly in the library.

Thank you for taking the time to look into this issue I really appreciate your support!
