How do I include a .LNK file in deployment?

I have been trying to include a shortcut (.LNK) file in my deployment project.
Unfortunately I get the file that the link points to instead of the link itself.
Can I do this?

Unfortunately, all shortcuts included in a deployment are translated to their full path.
