How to tie two serial numbers together using Test Stand including the tie in in the database.

Solved!
Go to solution
I have two seperate boards that I need to tie the serial number too.  One is tested as a seperate unit, then they both are tested together, which I would need to insure that I tie them together, in the database.  Not sure how to do it, looking for any input that I can get.  Using a labVIEW vi to ask for the input of the one board, then will be using Test Stand UUT information interface for the Main UUT.

Hi hallawt,

I'm not exactly Probably the easiest way to accomplish this would be to use a serial naming scheme where these two tests would have a similar names, for example, the two tests' serials could be 000001-A and 000001-B.  Another option would be to include both sets of tests within the same test, considering both boards as a single unit under test.  Please provide a bit more detail, and we can look into other options.

Hi,

Just one question.

You have two (A,B) boards. Are you using two different sequence Files for doning this?

I Have to Boards, one of the boards, board A, is tested by a different sequence file, then Board A is attached to board B, and then they are tested as a complete assembly.  Was given a few sugesstions on how to record both serial numbers, but went with added a message popup to step types (modified to record results), then just have the user scann the second number in, and it shows up as one of the step results in the database.
