Is it possible to selectively disable any of the module adapters in TestStand? For example to configure TestStand development environment to only have the LabView module adapter available for the developers.

Hi,

You can configure the adapter to be hidden, as you have with the SequenceCall adapter. You will find this option under the Configure Adapters..

Thanks for the reply. Is the permission to be able to modify the adapters under the config adapter privilege? How can TestStand be installed where the user accounts are pre-configures e.g. administrator account is defaulted with a different password than blank and the developer privilege be defaulted with the config adapter privilege turned off?

Hi,

You would have to remove the configure privilege from the user.

Hi,

In the Configure Privileges options, one the settings is for the Configure Adapter

https://www.ni.com/docs/en-US/bundle/teststand-api-reference/page/tsref/user-and-group-privileges.ht...

It's possible that either a Technician or Developer User may already have this set. You can set any users privileges.

You can install the users.ini file customized how you like after you are done editing it. It is located in the teststand cfg directory.

Hope this helps,
