IviSwitch Step with HP34980A

Hi there,

I'm trying to use the IVI Drivers with an Agilent 34980A. I succeeded in enabling the connection to the instrument but now I have some problems with setting a relay in the 34921A (2x20 channel 2 wire MUX). I tried it with the IviSwitch Tools but I don't know what I have to fill in the Source and Destination Box (Action: Connect) to set a relay. Have I also to define Virtual Channels etc. in the MAX? Is it actually possible to set a relay via this function or which function do I have to use?

Thanks

hello kgs,

basically the names of the terminals should be given in the documentation of the device.

maybe you find ressources here.

kind regards,

Thanks for your answer first. The problem is I have the channelnames and so on, I already switch the relay with the normal ag34980a.dll but what do I have to fill in the IviSwitch step?
Source: "1001" Destination: "1001" -> Connect? Well that doesn't work...Do I need a relay matrix to use the IviSwitch functions? I think it must be possible just to switch one relay (like "1002") with IviSwitch Step...could you help me with an example? Neither the teststand examples nor the agilent programming examples have really helped me

Greetings

Hello,

I'm trying to start to use the Agilent supported drivers instead of own programmed. I'm curious which step type adapter you used when you wrote: "I already switch the relay with the normal ag34980a.dll" ?
