Programmatically launch user manager?

Is it possible?  I don't see a command type or an API for it.

Hi jsiegel,

It depends on what you want to do with the user manager. There are a number of API calls that will allow you to create and manage users. Take a look at some of the following documentation:

I think the user manager is built into the sequence editor and cannot be detached.  I'm sure it is just calling into the API.

That link should get you on the right track.  Forgive me if it is the same one Kristen showed.

I know I can use the API to recreate my own user manager (to add/edit/delete users), but I would rather use the entire user manager UI that is already complete and working!  But I think jigg confirmed my suspicions that this is not possible.  I guess I have to go reinvent the wheel!  Thanks.

Hi Jeff,

How is reinventing the wheel going? Could you share some code?

BTW I think that NI should support creation of custom User Manager because it is pointless to deploy custom UI without possibility to manage users in it...

Michał,

Sorry, I did not create my own custom user manager because the feature was not important enough to spend time on.
