ReportView Control

I am modifying the LabView Simple OI (Operator Interface) that comes with TestStand 3.0. The modification I am trying to do is to remove some of the toolbar buttons (back, forward, stop, etc.) in the ReportView control. I go into the ReportView properties window and uncheck the buttons in the "Show Toolbar Buttons" window. I then hit the apply button and the buttons are removed from the reportview control on the front panel.

However, and here is my problem, when I go to execute the VI, these button reappear. Even after I exit the operation of the IV and return to the front panel, the buttons are still there. It is like I never removed them in the first place.

My questions is, am I doing something wrong, or missing something, that will allow me to permanently remove these buttons from the reportview control.

Thank you in advance for your help.

Thanx,
Jim

HI

You are not doing anything wrong. This is a known issue and has been fixed in TestStand 3.1

I hope this helps

Hi
Here is the Workaround: Use a property node to change the property ButtonsVisible on the ReportView control. This property will give you the options to choose which buttons to show and which ones to hide.

I hope this helps.

Anand,

Thank you very much for your timely response. I made the changes to my VI per your workaround recommendation and it worked! Eventually we will upgrade to 3.1, but for now, while I do some early development work, this workaround is fine.

Thanks again,
Jim
