TestStand 2023 Q4 release notes missing?

Solved!
Go to solution

It looks like the TS2023 Q4 release page is broken? I am interested in reading release notes / bugfixes for TS2023, but none are to be found: "NI did not create this content for this release."

TestStand Release Notes - NI

Please let me know where I can find TS2023 Q4 release notes / bugfixes and / or fix the release page. 🙂

Thanks

If you download TestStand 2023 Q4 you can see the New Features. The Bug Fixes just points you to a broken page as you see on the release notes though, so for that we are still waiting.

But here is the new features:

Build Source Files and Execute Feature

The new Build Source Files and Execute feature adds support for executing source-only VIs in TestStand using the LabVIEW adapter when it is configured to use the LabVIEW runtime engine by compiling LabVIEW modules necessary for execution into a Packed Project Library (PPL) before execution begins.

Import/Update from Specification Compliance Manager Tool

The new Import/Update from Specification Compliance Manager tool lets you connect to Specification Compliance Manager (SCM) server from TestStand and import data from the server to a sequence file as variables. The tool also allows you to log results tied to imported data and pass the logged results back to SCM for analysis.

TestStand Installer Feed Optimization

The TestStand ISO image size has been reduced to improve download times and decrease the necessary storage space for the ISO image. Installers for GraphControl, IVIStepTypes, Runtime32, and Runtime64 have been removed from the ISO image, but are still available for manual or automatic installation through NI Package Manager and NI Package Builder.

Improvements to Working with Variables

You can now filter variables by name in the Variables pane in a Sequence File, an execution, on the Property Browser pane, and Station Globals.

Python Adapter Improvements

TestStand performance has been improved when using the Enum data type with the TestStand Python adapter to pass Enum values between TestStand and Python code modules.

Hi ShockHouse,

where did you find this information exactly? I downloaded and installed TestStand 2023 Q4 but still can't seem to find this documentation.

I am specifically looking for this part:

When TestStand is open, I went to

Help -> NI TestStand Help.

In the new help window, use the Contents tab and expand "What's New In TestStand". Then you can expand any TestStand version and see the changes. In this case TestStand 2023 Q4 -> New Features shows that specific section you are talking about.

Also note. The Bug Fixes, and Known Issues pages are live now as well.
