I hope someone can help with pointing me in the right direction.
Ive created a series of steps within teststand and created various VIs alongside the steps. My question is, I believe a UI will help considerably for the user controls from what I've read so far, I know I can create the user controls within Labview as part of the VI, but I was assuming the same task can be done from within teststand but Im struggling to understand how I go about this?
I am new to Teststand and Labview, and keen to know the best practices which ive been reading, Im just wondering If Im missing a trick here (somewhere).
The goal for this project is to have a front panel used by a test technician calling the different steps, each step might call up different components such as user prompt (VI) to input information, voltage readings (VI) inputted by a user, and a couple of other components. So far I have different VIs based on a them which will makes maintanance a pain. My thoughts are, If I create a front panel (UI) calling the components or vi, this will helps with maintanance as theyre could be 80 steps in the sequence. Up to now I assumes the UI can be created within Teststand..
Any helps would be appreciated and happy to answer any questions.

Not sure I really follow your question there. Why wouldn't you just use the UI that ships with TestStand for your technicians?
To see the shipped UI go to Start>>All Programs>>National Instruments>><TestStand>>>User Interfaces
You should see 5 different versions of the UI. Basically the source code for each is a different language. You also have the source code for each and can customize them to your liking.
Here is some more info:
Hope this helps,

Thanks for replying promptly. I've been reading alot fot he documentation about the UI and was finding it diffucult to locate where the two UI examples were stored. All the documentation I found ket indicating its a tool within Teststand that allows you to create or modify a UI.
Ive now located where the examples are and understand the relationship better, thankyou for the tutorials, I will take time out to to go through them much appreciate the feedback
Thanks
