Teststand upgrade from V1 to V4

Good Morning all,
I will be upgrading Teststand from version 1.01 to version 4 in the near future, and I'm wondering what sort of problems (if any) I can expect with existing sequences.  Any guidence would be welcome.  LW/CVI will go from v6.0 to v8.0.  The OS is Win XP. Thanks in advance.

Hi Leo.
Instead of guessing what might go wrong I would do an evaluation on this. Both (TestStand and CVI) allow to evaluate it for a period of 30 days (i guess). TestStand got tons of new features since 1.0.1. You will like them.

I frequently work on code modules used by step types. The code modules are created in LV >= 7.0 or CVI >= 6.0. The step types are created in TestStand >= 2.0.
Using the step types in a later version of TestStand does not introduce any incompatibilities. --> I cannot complain.

Hi Leo,

I agree with Guenter that sometimes the best thing to do is experience the software first hand; however, I understand this is not good enough for some situations. In this case, I would suggest looking at the release notes for each version (which contain a list of new features and changes).
