Unable to load test environment adapter C/CVi

TS V2.01f Win2000 LabVIEW 6.1
I have error message on two separate PC desktop.
Unable to load test environment adapter C/CVI Std prototype adapter. Run set-up to re-install or remove this adapter. Could not connect to TSAutomgr.exe server. DCOM permission may be incorrect because of configuration changes for remote execution. To fix this problem, make sure the current user is in the default DCOM access permissions or that no users are in the access permissions section of the dcomcnfg.exe dialog box. You can change DCOM access permission using the program, dcomcnfg.exe, located in the Windows system directory (System32 on NT). If you are using a Windows NT 4.0 system and the user is logging into a specific domain. You can also
add the user to the administrator group for that system under that domain, i.e. /. Error code -17501 unexpected Operating system error.

How do I deliver my pc desktop to my customer with this message?

Hi trout00,

The error message is stating the problem exactly. Try changing the DCOM access permissions for the TSAutoMgr.exe. You can do this by running dcomcnfg.exe located in \System32 folder. You must set the access permissions to your Windows user account, or set no users to allow anyone to launch the application. I recommend the second option.

Also you may want to check that the TSAutoMgr.exe file still resides inside of the \Bin folder.

Hope this helps.

Hi,

I'm experiencing the same problem.  I verified that I do have the TSAutomgr.exe file.

I execute the utility dcomcnfg.exe and I can't find the TSAutomgr.exe there....

where exactly RSAutoMgr.exe should be listed?

What does it mean if it's not there?

And advice what to do next?

Thanks

Rafi
