VISA

 Can NI_SPY be used to monitor traffic on a VISA USB bus in a similar mannar as NI_SPY monitors GPIB?  Also where can I find find sample c/c++ (NO VISUAL C++ please) code where VISA drives a piece of test equipment?   I am new with VISA so please forgive the ignorance.

HI

you can use this Ni-Spy (2.5). Take a look under  Spy->Options->"ShowSelection"(in German it is "Auswahl anzeigen").

Most Testequipment uses VISA drivers. So i am quite sure that you find your specific driver here at NI.

Thy this link http://www.ni.com/devzone/idnet. most drivers here are shipped with source code. So just take a look

how they did the visa calls.

Dear Ray Farmer,

The examples that you furnished worked great!  Do you (or anyone else)
have any complete MS V6 c++ projects that you can email me.  I am interested
in the dsw file.  When I changed the suffix to .cpp and started a new project
the compiler complained about a link issues.

PS I aplogise to all for the previous post (Fragment).
