Watch View becomes blank

Hi ppl...

I am using this Watch View Expression to check the values of step properties when i step over each steps. However as i step over, some steps do not have the properties that i had included in Watch View. So they show error. While I step over  to a step that has this step property ,immediately  after the step without this step property, the Watch View remains empty. It shows dotted lines. Why is this ? Is this a bug ? Or am I not able to use the Watch View proprly ?

Thanks

lord,

What version of TestStand are you using?

The watch view displays '...' under the value column for containers. Are you seeing the dotted lines under the value column or under the watch expression column?

Could you post an example to make me understand better your use case?

Regards.

Lord,

I was able to reproduce this issue. It seems to be a bug in the watch view.

I reported this issue to R&D and the request number is 143199.

If you want to view the value of the property after you get into this state, you need to force a refresh on the watch view panel by inserting a new watch expression or by selecting view current scope/view all scopes from the context menu.

Thank you.
