Why does TS ask to save 'NI_Database_Types.ini' every time I quite TS?

Ever since I installed TestStand 3.5 I have been getting this. Every time I quit the TestStand application, i get a popup box that says

'The following files are modified. Check the files you wish to save before exiting. You will lose any modifications to unchecked files.' and it always lists NI_DatabaseTypes.ini as a changed file.

I don't use databases.
I don't have them enabled. I have checked 'Disable Database Logging' and all of the tabs in the Database OPtions pane are greyed out.
All I have to do to duplicate this is to start up teststand and then quit teststand. I don't even need to load a sequence file.

What can I do to stop this annoying message?

(Why can't you guys introduce a new version without introducing new errors? )

Please see the following post.  It sounds like you have the same problem.

Actually, I don't think it is that closely related.

I have installed TestStand 3.5 and LabView 8.01 on 7 PCs now, and they all do the same thing.

These are clean systems with no previous NI software or custom test sequences on them.

This has been a plaque since I opened the box and it 'clearly' has nothing to do with any of my files, since I have not installed any of my files.

Please look a bit deeper.

Hi,

Out of interest, what do you install first, the LabVIEW or the TestStand.

I have the same problem. The message about "modified files" appear when I close TestStand application.
I have TestStand 3.5. And I installed CVI first, after that TestStand...

Marta,
What files are modified?  Have you tried the workaround in the linked forum message?

Checkers,

What is the version of CommonResults on your machine?

So,

Where do I find the CommonResults file?

CommonResults is a DataType.

View the Type Palette (Ctrl-T), select NI_DatabaseTypes.ini from the Palette View Ring.  Select the Standard Data Types tab.  CommonResults should be visible.  There is a column that lists Version.

For some reason, the version is 3.1.0.9097

And on another system it is 3.1.0.100

Why is it at version 3.1?
