Will VISA work in a Deployed System with TS-Deployment and LV-Run-Time?

Hello Everybody,

I Developed some TestStand sequences using LabVIEW Modules as steps.

I am Using LV 7.1.1 and TS 3.1.

Now, I would like to know if my VISA communication will work in the Scenario

where only the TestStand Base Deployment Engine and LabVIEW Run-Time-Engine

are available (deployment scenario).

Are we going to be able to use Measurement and Automation explorer to define

the VISA aliases for the GPIB adresses in the target Machine? If not, how do we

certify ourselves that the VISA communication will work?

I really would like to know this before we put everything together

Hi Caribe,

Defiantly should work.

You will need to ensure you VISA drivers are installed on the target, but I think they are installed when you install your GPIB card, MAX etc.
