changing step properties en masse

Hi All,

Is it possible to edit the same property of a number of different steps simultaneously instead of having to edit each step's properties individually resulting in many repetitive actions? For example, if I wanted to turn off the reporting in a selection of steps in a sequence.

Currently this is not an option in TestStand.  There is a product suggestion submitted for this feature and R&D is taking it into consideration.

One way you can do this is to do a find and replace on a sequence file (make sure you have Hidden Properties Visible).  TestStand stores all of this information in a property, and you could selectively change the value to be something else.

For your example, you would:

1) Select Edit >> Find

2)  Search for "TS.NoResult".

3)  Select the steps you wish to change the Result Collection Option to.

4)  Type either "True" or "False" in the "Replace With" text.

5)  Click "Replace Value".
