distribute customized tools menu

Hi,

I have customized the Tools menu to add a few more items. If i want to distribute this among other developers, what should i do? I noticed there is a file called ToolsMenu.ini under the cfg directory. Will copying this file into the other systems take care of showing the updated menu ? (i will copy all other files required for the extra menu items in the positions that they are in the original system). In other words, i wanted to clarify about how to distribute updated Tools menu items. Do i have to deploy the entire teststand engine for this?

Hi,

Yes copy over the Tools ini file plus all associated files relating to your tools. When you relaunch TestStand on the other systems it should pick up the new settings.

You dont need to do a deployment. Thats really of deploying the runtime system to a target system plus an operator interfaces.
