Hi,

Hope someone can help as I have inherited a test system which uses Test Stand.

We have an external file, text file, which contains mapping information for an automate test system.

I need to know when and how this file is loaded into the test stand.

Where and how should I start looking for the loading of this file?

Thanks

Simon

Hi,

You will have to give us a bit more information regarding this external file?

Is it text based, can you see what it contains.

There is no file that I know of that contains mapping information for an automate test system within TestStand.

It may be related to the Switch Executive. It maybe related to Visa or IVI.

You could try doing a search using explorer for occurrances of the filename within the SequenceFile etc.

Hi,

Sorry, we use this text file (.map) as a reference to Pickering relays on a PCI card internal to the PC.

These are called channels to be switched in and using a GPIB controlled DMM we can make a measurement between two points.

I can see the Sequence File Globals were the path to the file is set.

During single step I can see the values in the array.

But I cannot see where the files is read and the contents of the file are loaded in to the array.

I am sorry if I am asking an unrelated Test Stand question but EVERYTHING is new to me as this is a new job and new company to me!!

Thanks for you help

Hi,

It sounds like it may be related to the Switch Executive.

If you look at the properties of one of your step, there is a tab called Switching, if its enabled then your have the Switch Executive software installed.

You can still do a search for you FileGlobal reference to find where its used.
