problems with free memory of excel process from teststand

Hi,
I am using cvi excel api from teststand, when I close excel application  memory of excel process doesn't free. The memory free only when I close teststand.
There are no problems when I use same code from CVI.

Does anybody know  what's the problem??

Thanks

Hi pdobkes,

Please describe how you are calling the CVI code.  If you are using the CVI adapter, check the adapter configuration and make sure the second option under Step Execution is chosen.  As well check the Run Options for the step and change the load options to see if that resolves it.

Thank you for your reply.

I am using CVI Adapter and Action Step  but I cann't find second option under Step Execution? What dose it mean?

I have changed load options for "Preload when execution begins" and unload option "Unload after step executes" and it doesn't help. That's the problem: teststand  unload dll  succeessfully and excel process closed (stoped), data saved in file but memory doesn't free ( I can see it in Task Manager). Usually, when excel process works and I am trying to kill it in task manager it asks me to save file, In my case it doesn't ask ever.

Pls, help me
