teststand operator interface menu bar

I am developing a custom operator interface for TestStand with LabVIEW (borrowing from the Full UI - Top-Level VI.vi)

I am using the Rebuild Menu Bar vi and would like to know how to insert my own menu items (non TestStand) in the the menu

the Execute Menu Command has a place for "Process User Menus"

it seems like the rebuild is changing the items I put in the Run Time Menu
