I'll try getting as much information as possible but it could be a while as now that I have everything running "they" dont want to touch anything. I will try making a full FTP backup and see if i can recover it instantly.
The 6 cores are from a XEON, the hyper-threading is disabled (as suggested on some NI paper) otherwise you would see 12 cores and a nice message saying you cant have more than 8 cores and if you needed more to contact NI

hah. fantastic.
FYI you can use the system configuration API to take a system image and restore a system image. Works pretty well. In LabVIEW its in your palettes under measurement io -> system configuration -> RT software
There is also a stand along application NI provides to do this so you dont have to use any programming environment: http://www.ni.com/example/30986/en/

Hi Cluadio,
To make a backup of a RT system (PXI in my case), I am using the RTADU add-on from NI.
This tool is very slow (the first time, you have often a time-out) but it does a FTP backup that you can restore.

Good news. Apparently AIT was aware of this problem and just finished debugging and fixing it. I'm getting the details from them. There is an unofficial patch I'm trying to figure out how to install, and an official revision to the driver coming soon.

AIT hopes to have an official release on Friday for v4.8 that fixes the issue. In the mean time, download the attached files and copy them to the system32 directory on 32-bit Windows systems or the SysWow64 directory on 64-bit Windows systems. For RT, FTP them to the ni-rt/system directory and reboot the target.

I'm rushing out, i'll definitely try it out tomorrow morning first thing as I have just proven the FTP backup to be operational.
Thank you Stephen!

Just finished trying 4.7.0+patch on 1.8.2 and undeploy does not crash the system anymore.

No more crashes at undeploy!! For AIT Firmware using 4.6 + patch and 1.8.1 for the Custom Device. Thanks Claudio and Stephen for resolving this.

Hello Stephen - I want to use a input to our ARINC card as the signal to close a relay, is there a reason why I would not see it as a Source when mapping?? Would there be something wrong with by database?? I only see the option to select outputs. Please see attached screen shot of the options i am provided with when mapping. I am using Veristand 2012 with XP on my host machine, PXIe-8135 chasis (Pharlap) with an AIT PCI-C429 Card, ARINC429 Ver. 1.8.1 Custom Device and the AIT 4.6.0 driver.
Thanks
Unrealated note...know of any references to expand the time scale greater than two minutes on a Graph Veristand worksapce object?
