And this is the screenshot of what I see in max for the time sync options

THe problem is you do not have NI-TimeSync 1.2 installed on the real time target. you have 1.3. You must use 1.2
11-08-2013 10:34 AM
No I am not using 1.3, I sent the wrong screenshot of the local software where I have both versions but attached is off the PXI and on the PXI I have 1.2 installed.

I am really frustrated with these garbage sync cards now
11-08-2013 10:43 AM
Hi Usman,
I'm sorry to hear that. I think a lot of the frustration is with going back and forth with me on changing configuration settings. Keep in mind everything you need and everything I have said is documented on the instructions. I realize they are long but I feel this would have saved you a lot of time and frustration:
https://decibel.ni.com/content/docs/DOC-29546#Installing_the_Chassis_TimeSync_Custom_Device
After these past few pages of discussion, we have accomplished everything those documents state now... so reviewing them now won't accomplish anything. So... moving forward... can you please tell me if you see "timesync: ni-sync now active" somewhere in the console on the targets?
Thanks

I will try 1 more time doing everything all over again and see it works or not...
11-08-2013 10:45 AM
Before you do that, can you please check the console for that message?

If you dont see that anywhere in the console log ... that is the problem.
The portion you posted is only after the sysdef was deployed. I'm expected to see it anywhere... even right after boot. Can you copy paste the whole console log so we can look through it?
This is what timesync 1.2 plugin for ni sync does
To verify timesync 1.2 is installed properly can you navigate on the target to /ni-rt/system/ni-timesync/
Does that folder exist? If so, can you look for ni-timesync-nisync.ini in there? If so, can you copy paste the contents of that ini file here?
Thanks for your patience

I rebooted the PXI and I get this. Attached is the screenshot and it does say that sentence
