No good ideas, other than maybe TestStand got confused about what run-time engine it is using again.

So if I go to my computers full program list, it has the NI LabVIEW run-time engine 6.1 installed, and if I go into the National Instruments software list, it has both 2013 and 6.1. However, if I try and remove 6.1 it says NI labWindows/CVI signal processing toolkit 7.0.2 is a dependent product. I can't say for sure that I am not using that so I don't know if I can remove that as well. Could the problem be that 6.1 exists on the computer? I did just install 2013 yesterday. If that is the problem, is there something I can do to rectify that without unstalling 6.1?

You shouldn't have to uninstall 6.1. Try closing all NI software, opening LabVIEW 2013 and then opening TestStand (I think this is supposed to update which run time to use) if not you can do it manually using the link I posted a couple posts back.

manually configuring the adapters did the trick. Thanks for the help.

Kevin,
I've run into an issue trying to get this working with VS and TS 2013. I get the following error when adding the "Initialize VeriStand" step into Setup. I have manually configured adapters per earlier in the forum.
I try to run it from within TS, and it seems I'm missing some library VI's:

Hey Jeremy,
The first error message has a path to a VI. If you open up that VI in LabVIEW on the machine do you see any errors - does the VI have a broken run arrow?

I don't have labview installed on this machine to see if it's broke. Is there another way?

That might be the problem, Someone else told me recently they were having trouble getting Initialize VeriStand to work correctly without LabVIEW installed. Theoretically I think TestStand should be able to call all the VI's without an installed version of LabVIEW but for some reason that wasn't working for them. I didn't get time to figure out what was wrong on their machine but I can probably set up a test machine here to see if I run into issues without LabVIEW installed.

Kevin,
Any outlook for when we will have a version that we can use TS 2014 with VS 2013? Or are you going to wait until VS 2014 comes out?

Hey Tyler,
I don't think I will ever have a version with TS 2014 / VS 2013. VeriStand 2014 just released though and I should have the steps updated for that in the next couple of weeks so that you can use TestStand and VeriStand 2014 together.
