Hi wjrt,

We're hoping to get that published in the next week or so. I'll let you know here once it's online.

Best,

Hi Andrew,

I found several issues from VeriStand Steps in TestStand (VS2015, TS2014SP1) and hopefully can be fixed as soon as possible, otherwise please suggest better workaround.

1. Set Model Parameter Value

It doesn't support using Aliases with model parameters. Set Aliases of model parameters by using this step will throw an error.

2. Set Model Parameter Value

A Model Parameter as a vector can't be assigned to a variable of vector.

3. Initialize VeriStand

Using expression to VeriStand Project Path doesn't seem to work. Does Project Path have to be hard-coded?

4. Get Channel Value

A sequence file which contains Get Channel Value step will throw an error when it is called by another sequence through Sequence Call.

Somehow I couldn't attached images in this post. I'll provide more details once I get your response by email. Thank you very much.

Best Regards,

Chuan

Hi chuan1119,

about point 3.

I currently use expression to specify the VeriStand Project Path but the expression is enclosed between two double quotation marks so the expression becomes a string.

about point 4.

Put in the setup portion of the subsequence the "Open References" custom step. You can find this step in the Insertion Palette under

"NI VeriStand/Advanced/Low-Level Project Control". This step is also usefull if you want to "connect" a Test Stand sequence to an externally/manually launched VeriStand session.

about point 1. and 2.

Sorry but I don't have direct experience in using the Set Model Parameter.

regards

D.

Hi D,

It seems Initialize VeriStand has to be configured manually through 'Configure Gateway' before running the sequence with VeriStand Steps, and the Project Path has to be appointed to the absolute path of the VeriStand project. I tried to assign a string with the path of the project to the Initialize VeriStand step, but it didn't work. It appears that Initialize VeriStand can only recognize settings from the user interface gateway with absolute project path.

Best Regards,

Chuan

Hi everyone,

I wanted to post a quick update that we have finished testing the VeriStand Custom Step Types with VeriStand 2016 and TestStand 2014 SP1. The updated installer is now posted to the community page for download.

Hey Andy, I am using veristand 2015 sp1 and testsand 2014 sp1 and none of the fault injection steps seem to work for me.  I get the following error. What am I doing wrong?

Thank you

Andy,

Any additional updates on TS2016/VS2016?  I'm nearing critical mass of upgrading from TS2013/VS2013 and this will make my life SO much better.  Obviously I see that 2014 SP1 and beyond will be supported by Windows 10 (my deployment target) but my Technical Lead is set on going to the latest and greatest of everything.

Thanks!

Kent
