is there a way to diaplay the video in a near real time way (pictures per second and not seconds per picture..)?

i'm having the NI VMS 3.1 and i prefer using the LABVIEW API for this/

Can you elaborate on what you mean by near real time? If possible can you provide a screenshot that describes your question? What are you using to generate the video signal? And what measurement are you performing on your video signal?

The NI VMS LabVIEW API can be found in the Multimedia Test >> NI VMS section of the Functions Palette in LabVIEW.
