All languages has its restrictions due to "INTEROPERABILITY" issues. One of the major issues that LABVIEW couldn't tackle directly for instance is "connecting to custom USB HID devices". You have to build your driver using VISA since up to this moment, none has succeeded to connect any HID custom device to LABVIEW without overriding the default driver shipped with windows.
