Host Controller
IPC Pentium 3, 1Ghz, dual processor
Windows 2000 Operating System
MXI-3 interface card
Target System
NI-PXI 1045 PXI chassis, containing
NI PXI-MXI-3 8330
PXI-6031E Multifunction DAQ
Symptoms
When PXI chassis is powered up after at least a 5 min off-period, and the self calibration of the 6031E is executed from within MAX, a self calibration failure message is evident.
Also, any measurements made via card inputs whilst card is in this 'failing' condition are showing an offset of 40mV
If chassis is then powered off (for any time period of less than approx 5 mins) and then on again, self calibration and module functionality are correct (i.e. no 40mV offset).
The above cards (physically the same cards) in a couple of other PXI chassis (e.g. PXI 1000) did NOT show the same symptoms, and worked correctly.
The same cards in a different PXI 1045 chassis DID show the same symptoms.
Any suggestions as to why the above configuration does not function correctly on first power-up would be greatly appreciated!!
