6070e error

Hello,
Depending on how much RAM you have, you may or may not be able to use DAQmx on your PXI-8146 controller. You need at least 64MB (128MB recommended) RAM on the controller:

Also note that Traditional DAQ devices will NOT appear under Remote Systems. I would recommend that you either only install Traditional DAQ or DAQmx on the PXI-8146 controller, and not both. If you want to install any software onto your RT controller, right-click on Remote System » » Software and click on Install Software. This will allow you to install any drivers from your host PC onto the controller.

So if you go to Tools » Traditional NI-DAQ Configuration » Remote DAQ Configuration, can you not see ANY devices? Or do you only see your PXI-6013 and PXI-6602, and not your PXI-6070E? What other PXI devices do you have? Try taking all the other devices out and only place the PXI-6070E in different slots alone in the chassis. Also, is there another chassis or controller you can test to verify that the PXI-6070E is operating okay.

Hello,

As shown in pictures, which I posted, I could see Traditional DAQ devices under Remote system. And I tried to the instruction, which is Tools » Traditional NI-DAQ Configuration » Remote DAQ Configuration.
In this case, I could see only two device except the 6070E. And I tried to change the slot for 6070E. But when I tried to do Remote DAQ Configuration, I still could not see 6070E.
Please look at the pictures. And advise me.

Hi,
This behavior is quite strange. On your PXI-8145 controller, you need at least 64 MB (128 recommended) if you want to install both DAQmx and Traditional DAQ. Currently you have only Traditional DAQ, and that should work fine. Remote DAQ and RDA features are not available in DAQmx. To troubleshoot your issue further, we can try the following:
1. FTP into the controller (use Internet Explorer and go to ftp://[ip address of controller]/. Then go to /NI-RT/SYSTEM and delete the file called niconfig.daq. Then reboot the controller. This will allow the PXI configuration info to get reset on the controller. Now check the Remote DAQ Configuration and see if it works.

If that doesn't work then:
2. Format the flash drive on the PXI-8145 controller. Refer to the manual on how to remove the flash drive. Then use a Compact Flash card reader to format the CF drive. After that, you can simply put it back in the controller and boot it up. Then using MAX, reinstall DAQ and the other software necessary.

If you do not have a compact flash card reader, you can boot the controller into Safe Mode, then FTP into the controller using Internet Explorer. Then delete ALL the files on the controller. Reboot after this.

This should help a bit. Please let me know if this works.
