6143 Problem with Analog In

Hi ,

We have in an PXI System 6143 cards. on 1 Card in Slot 8, we get allways -5V on several Channels in MAX Testpanel.

Is the Card defect?

Hi,

if these channels are not connected,this behavior is normal, as open channels drift to either the uppe or lower end of the input range. If the channels are connected to valid voltage levels (be careful with floating sources!), the board is probably defective.

Do you get the -5 V values even if you short the channels to GND?

Hi Jochen,

thank you for yor answer, i got the -5V even, if i had conected the inputs together (short).

I disconnected our Signal - conditioning - Box (Its a Bedo - Box) and connected the 6143 with the SCB68 Connector  Box.

No Problem, all worked fine, the 6143 was not damaged.

The Reason was, we have also a 6733 D/A - Card, it was a mistake between the Cable Connection, from the D/A - and th A/D Card to the

Signal - conditioning - Box .
