6682 Board Time Windows System Time

Does the 6682 (slot 2) Timing Controller have the capabilty that other GPS/Timing cards (Symetricomm) have in that the 6682 board time can replace or set the Windows System time residing on the PXI System Controller.  I am not talking about a piece of code that simply reads the board time and sets the Windows Time I am talking about a hardware capbility sort of transparent in the background constantly at some update rate keeping that System Time synced to the 6682 board time.

I have asked NI App Engineers but they are still researching.

thanks for any help,

JS

Out of curiosity, how do you hope to use the synchronized Windows system time?

Its done via the Windows API functions, problem with this technique is of course there is always a slight offset by the time we read the 6682 board time and set the local system time and that offset is somewhat dynamic not static.  For us this isn't a problem because we are just trying to achieve less than a second difference  and not sub seconds and that offset is less than a second.

Ah, I see. This isn't something we currently support but we'll definitely add it to the list of considerations for future versions.

Thanks,

I actually already went to the NI website and filled out the form for recommendations on future NI SYNC version 6682 releases upon the suggestion of NI applications engineering.
