8176 power up problem

I have a 8176 controller in a 1045 chassis. At present when I turn the power on the psu lights come on but there is no other activity (no monitor or hd) if i insert into another chassis (a 1006) it works fine so i know its not the controller, all other pxi modules are unplugged. Has any one got any ideas what it could be? Many thanks in advance

Hi,

It does sound as though your 1045 has a hardware issue, would you be able to try another controller in the 1045 chassis to see if this works? Also check the pins at the back of the 1045 to see if any are bent where the controller plugs in. If you have bent pins or you can confirm the chassis doesn't work then I would suggest contacting NI Tech Support for your area and requesting an RMA (Returns)

All the best,
