Dear People,

I am playing with an incremental encoder and our PXI-chassis.

I tried to use the NI example program MeasAngularPositionBuffered_Cont_ExtClk.2005 but unfornately I cannot start the relevant task. Please see the attached error message.

I have tried this with ctr0 of PXI-6624 and PXI-6733 cards.

Do I have a bad configuration or maybe my HW does not support angular position measurements? Or what do you think?

Hi,

You are right.Your HW does not support Angular Position Encoder...because your HW doesn’t have the goods inputs to do this function. But you can do that yourself, with a simple calculus: Angle = Number of impulse *360°/(Number of impulse by turn)
